Mermaid Popcorn

MERMAID CANDIED POPCORN (NO KARO SYRUP)

Salty and sweet is a popular combination. My son loves this as a party snack. This is an easy way to make candied popcorn that does not require boiling anything. If you're having a party is easy to piggyback this recipe with my other party desserts to save some money, have a variety of desserts and coordinate a theme. This popcorn will not be hard like some other candied popcorns. You can purchase candy melts from Amazon.  They have various colors and flavors. Almond bark is also on Amazon, White cholate melts and candy melts/almond bark are not the same. 

Ingredients: 

• Cooked popcorn 
• Chocolate melts 
• Almond Bark
• Sprinkles

Steps: 

1. Cook popcorn according to directions. Pour 1/2 of popcorn into bowl.
2. Melt almond bark in microwave. Stir after 15 seconds.
3. Pour melted almond bark over cooked popcorn and stir to coat. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper, then pour popcorn evenly onto cookie sheet. 
4. Melt chocolate melts in microwave. Stir after 15 seconds. 
5. Add remaining popcorn to cookie sheet. Drizzle candy melts over popcorn and add sprinkles. 
6. Allow to dry before storing in airtight container or treat bags.
